Next Club Event - September 12th....... "Bill's Antique Toy Collection" - September 12th

 

 
 

 

     
     
     
 September 12th "Bill's Antique Toy Collection" - Whitford
   Meet at Rainbow's End car park, Manukau City at 12.30pm for a 1pm departure. (Note time change from last magazine). Arrive at the Toy Museum at approximately 1.30pm. Entry $5 adult, children free. For those who wish to bring a picnic lunch there is an outside picnic area or if the weather is wet a room with an urn, tea, coffee and milk. We will have lunch first before touring the museum. There are also two cafes in Whitford for afternoon tea.

  October 17th Waitakere Bush Tramway 
   Meet at the long car park, opposite MOTAT & Western Springs lake at 10am for a 10.30am departure to connect with the 11.30am train trip. Picnic lunch afterwards or those that wish can drive the Scenic Drive to Titirangi for a café lunch.
Costs are Adults $10, Children 5-15 $5, Under 5 free. You must pre-book and pay for this outing with payment to Terry or John by Friday 8th October. There can be no last minute add-ons.
Note that access is only by walking uphill on a fairly steep gravel road for about ¾ of a kilometer with limited shelter if the weather is poor.

  November 14th Glenbook Vintage Railway, Waiuku 
   Meet at the BP Service Centre, Southern Motorway, at 11am for a 11.30am departure. Drive to the Glenbrook Vintage Railway and park in the reserved area for car clubs opposite the station. Bring your own picnic lunch and if you require there is a café on site.

  November 28th Combined Car Club Gymkhana - Omana Regional Reserve 
   

Come and compete against other car clubs,
in sometimes challenging events, but mostly

  December 4th Christmas Party  
   A fun day at Bryan Parker's place at Paeroa. Meet at the BP Service Centre, Southern Motorway at 9.30am for a 10am departure. To avoid traffic hold ups we will drive separately to Bryan's place for a BBQ/picnic lunch and for those that want it the experience of driving vintage tractors on Bryan's farm.
Maps will be provided so you do not lose your way and bring a salad, desert or something else festive for a shared lunch. Some may wish to stay longer for an early BBQ dinner.
To help Bryan and Sonia with organizing you must let them know you are coming by Saturday 27th November.

  September 18th Paeroa's Antiques Weekend. Starts Saturday September 18th at 11.30am. 
   A vintage and classic car parade to Paeroa Domain where there will be a tea party. On Sunday there is an Antiques Road Show and a Mystery Car Rally. It's a good opportunity for members to attend with their cars to publicise our Convention in 2011
